Before travelling abroad, apart from the usual things like checking your passports and visas, you may like to have a look at the following checklist, to make sure your holiday will be as pleasant as it should:
– Try to find few reviews and facts about the country you are going to visit.
– Ask your travel agent if there are any contingency plans and emergency contact numbers that you could use.
– If you plan to drive abroad, check that your licence is still valid and print a DVLA check code to share your driving record, if requested by the hire company.
– Inform your bank, so they can authorize your transactions abroad and take with you more than one means of payment.
– Contact your phone network to see how you can use it abroad without incurring additional charges.
– Purchase a travel insurance, to cover all activities that you are likely to do and if travelling thru Europe you can still get a free European Health Insurance Card.
